Hey Pookie! Let’s get into it. So many of us are afraid to look like we don’t know what we’re doing. Or maybe we don’t want to be a bother. On the other hand, a lot of people are out here acting like they’re too good to ask for help. Clock it 👀 But if you’re just starting out, here’s the truth: You don’t know what you’re doing. And you’re not too good to ask for help. So ask for help.
4. Seek Support and Mentorship
Don’t limit yourself by only striving to network up, reaching out to only those who are in higher positions than you. Network across, network below even! Surround yourself with a network of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, or coaches who can offer perspective and encouragement. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and others can help you see your strengths.
Your fellow entrepreneurs will validate your experience when they share similar concerns. Creating opportunities for those who have less experience than you will give you a chance to deepen your skills while also empowering others. And when you see just how much you really do know, this can serve as a great confidence boost.
To quote two of my favorite bible verses: “There is success through many advisers.” (Prov. 11:14, NWT) “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens his friend.” (Prov. 27:17, NWT) Remember that there is strength in asking for help. So just ask for the help, silly.
Or else…
