For as long as I can recall, I have always had a passion for all things art. From paint to poetry and DIY to graphic design, my life has always been full of creations. Whether or not they've all been finished is another story! As a self-taught artist and graphic designer, I love to spend time widening the skills and knowledge I have through "practice pieces." When I'm not painting or drawing, I'm either somewhere in a park roller skating or spending time with my wonderful husband.

I have always been fascinated by the way a pencil could capture exactly what your mind is thinking. Well sort of. Most people don't just become skilled and talented artists just by thinking. What I mean is quite simple, really. More so the idea that while holding a pencil, my brain can send a message to my hand telling it to draw a line on a piece of paper and just like that: I've created something. Cause and effect. At an early age, my mother gave me a pencil and a piece of paper and showed me something that changed my little life forever. With the lead of a pencil, I could alter something that had already been and make it different. I could create. Just like that, my little toddler mind understood that very reality. The markings I had made, although quite meaningless, were powerful. They were mine.
